Captain Scott Richardson

Scott Richardson is a fifteen year veteran of the University of Missouri Police Department having served as a Patrol Officer, Detective, Sergeant, Lieutenant, and Captain. He is currently the Captain for Support Services at the University of Missouri Police Department which includes: Records; Communications, Planning and Research, Jeanne Clery Act Reporting, Traffic Stop Report, Wetterling
Act, Technology and Grants, serves as the department's Public Relations Officer, and administrative reports.
Captain Richardson has an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from
Missouri Western State University as well as a Master of Science in
Criminal Justice from Columbia College. He has attended numerous specialized police training courses including courses specializing in computer crimes and computer forensics. He is also a 2001 Graduate of Northwestern University
Traffic Institutes School of Police Staff and Command as well as a 2005
graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
Captain Richardson is a member of numerous professional organizations
including the Mid-Missouri Major Case Squad, the Western Missouri Kansas
Chapter of FBI National Academy Associates, International and Missouri
Association of Chiefs of Police, International Association of Campus Law
Enforcement Administrators, and the Missouri Division of the
International Association for Identification.
Captain Richardson currently serves in a part time capacity for the Task
Force as a computer forensics examiner.
